Some sessions just feel like summer.
Warm sun, sandy toes, boys running between hugs and “one more shell, Mom,” and that soft Tybee light that somehow makes everything feel a little slower.
I loved this session because it felt simple in the best way.
No elaborate setup. No matching white shirts. Just a sweet mama and her boys dressed in a way that felt timeless and completely like them.
One thing I always notice with family sessions is that kids don’t really remember being told to smile. They remember being held. They remember being spun around. They remember being allowed to be little.
Those are the images that end up mattering years later.
Tybee has a way of giving families permission to settle in and enjoy each other rather than perform for the camera. The beach gives kids space to move, parents space to breathe, and somehow everything feels a little less rushed.
These are some of my favorite kinds of sessions because they don’t try too hard.
Just a season of life documented exactly as it looked.
